We invite you to learn more about us and how our experience, innovative approach and dedication have helped organizations, both in the public and private sectors, realize significant savings.
Consulting and Technical Services
Laws affecting the purchase and delivery of employee benefits are constantly changing. Our professional staff will explain the impact of those changes and show you how to position your organization.
Joint Purchase Management
Group Benefits Strategies (GBS) has a wealth of experience in forming, advising and working with joint purchase groups. In fact, we are an industry leader. By combining the purchasing power of a number of different organizations, we can show you how to dramatically impact your group health care costs. Typically, our groups obtain premium savings of 8% to 30% below rates for similar employers.
Public Sector Experience
At Group Benefits Strategies (GBS), we understand the unique rules and regulations faced by public sector organizations. We understand the role of employee unions, as well as, elected and appointed officials. We also have more experience, in this area, than anyone else. As a result, we have been able to help our clients dramatically reduce their costs.
Private Sector Experience
Group Benefits Strategies has been recognized as an industry leader providing hundreds of private organizations with expert advice and guidance on their employee health insurance, not only in the New England area, but in several states through the country.
Auditing and Reporting
Claims are the largest part of an employer's health insurance costs. Unfortunately, and far to often, claims are presented for payment for which the employer is not responsible. To compound the problem, most employers are unable to identify and assign those claims where they belong. That's where Group Benefits Strategies (GBS) comes in.
COBRA Administration
The federal statute known as COBRA has a significant impact on your company. This statute mandates that if you have 20 or more employees, you must conform to the continuation of coverage guidelines. The best way to avoid or mitigate various penalties for violating COBRA is to outsource your COBRA Administration through Group Benefits Strategies (GBS).
Medicare Part D Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS)
The Medicare Part D Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) can be a much-needed source of revenue for clients but the administrative burden required by the complicated RDS application process can be prohibitive for many employers. GBS provides services to relieve this administrative burden as well as maximize the subsidy dollars obtained. Group Benefit Strategies has been managing the RDS application process beginning November of 2005 and has obtained over $56 million for our clients.
We provide all necessary services related to the filing of RDS Annual Applications including initial application set-up, eligibility/enrollment monitoring with CMS and vendors, cost report management and review, and all aspects of Reconciliation. We maintain a close relationship with clients, vendors and CMS to ensure that all aspects of the RDS application process are completed in accurate and timely fashion to maximize each client's subsidy as well as meet the ever-changing compliance guidelines.
